The four skilled words: rainy, windy.

The three skilled words: snowy.

3. Difficult points:

The sentences: How’s the weather today?

Put on your shirt.

4. Teaching procedure:

Step 1: Revision

1) Draw a thermometer on the blackboard. Invite four students to write the four words on the right place: hot, cold, warm, cool.

The other students spell the words together.

2) Use the computer to show weather. Let the students guess:

How’s the weather today?

(設計意圖:通過熱身小遊戲讓學生對舊知識進行回憶,同時導入本課的新單詞。)

Step 2: Presentation

Teacher draws pictures on the blackboard. Students learn the new words: windy, rainy, snowy.

(設計意圖:通過教師的簡筆畫,學生的讀、拼、寫讓學生對新單詞有深刻的印象。)

Step 3: Look and say

Look at the video about the dialogue. Students listen and read the dialogue.

Teacher explains: Put on your shirt.

Students act out the dialogue in pairs.

After the show, students make up their own dialogues using the new sentences.

(設計意圖:學生先練習本課的對話,掌握本課的知識,在此基礎之上創編新對話,進一步理解和掌握本節課的重點句型。)

Step 4: Practice

1) Play a game: students take out their word cards. One student asks, the other guess. (Four students in one group)

Example: How’s the weather today?

(設計意圖:通過小遊戲再次調動學生學習的積極性,同時遊戲和練習也進一步鞏固了本課的重難點。)

Step 5: Summary

Summarize what we have learnt today.

(設計意圖:通過小結的這個環節再次讓學生明確本課的重難點。)

1) Recite the dialogue.

2) Preview the next lesson.
